- Color and event lighting
- Compare a physical sample with your display materials and branding. Screens and photographs can change the apparent color, and venue lighting may differ from showroom lighting.
- Roll width and usable cuts
- Record the width and length of each area, including aisles and display returns. Confirm the actual roll width and available continuous length before deciding how many cuts are required.
- Seams and layout
- Place seams with the display layout in mind. A large total area in stock does not necessarily provide one uninterrupted piece. Share a drawing so the cut plan can be discussed.
- Venue documentation
- Ask the organizer which product documents it requires, including any applicable fire-test evidence. Confirm the exact carpet meets those requirements; a nylon fiber label or an “event” category is not proof of venue approval.
- Attachment and removal
- Discuss the approved tape or adhesive with the venue and installer. The method must suit both the carpet backing and the underlying surface, including any restrictions on residue or floor damage.
- Timing and handling
- Confirm material availability, pickup arrangements and required cut preparation before the event deadline. Include how rolls will be transported, stored and handled at the site.

Convention carpet also needs a practical handling plan. Share the move-in and move-out dates, the contact receiving the material and any preparation required before it reaches the venue. Confirm who handles transport, fitting, attachment and removal so those jobs are accounted for separately from the material purchase.
If several booths or display zones must match, confirm all required cuts together. Keep a sample with the event materials to check the color against signage and lighting. Ask the venue which documentation it needs for the exact carpet before committing to the order.
