What to compare
Choose the profile first. Match the floor second.
A similar color does not guarantee a compatible piece. The assortment includes floor-specific stair noses, end caps, reducers, T-molding and quarter round. Bring the flooring identification and measurements for each doorway, edge or step.
- T-molding
- Commonly used between floors of similar height. Confirm the profile’s dimensions and mounting method, including any expansion space required by the flooring system.
- Reducers
- Used to bridge a change in floor height. Measure both finished surfaces so the profile fits the actual difference rather than choosing from color alone.
- End caps
- Used for specified termination details where flooring meets another surface or feature. Check the manufacturer’s recommended application and dimensions for the chosen profile.
- Quarter round and baseboards
- Baseboards finish the wall perimeter; quarter round can cover the edge gap at an existing base. Confirm coverage, height, material and appearance. Ask about current baseboard options rather than assuming every profile is shown online.
- Stair noses
- A flush or overlapping stair nose must match the approved stair detail and floor thickness. The catalog includes different thickness-specific pieces; a 4.6mm and an 8mm listing are not interchangeable.
- Length and piece count
- Measure each run and allow for joints and cuts. A stock count in pieces does not tell you the total usable length until the length of each piece is confirmed.
- Collection and color match
- Use the exact collection, color code and product option. Compare samples when possible; a photo is not a reliable guarantee of color matching.

Baseboards complete the junction between the wall and finished floor. Compare the desired height and profile with the style of the room, existing door casing and how much of the old wall edge needs to be covered. Bring photos and a sample of the existing trim if you are completing a partial renovation.
Measure each wall run and mark inside corners, outside corners, door openings and short returns. Add the lengths as a starting point, then plan cuts around the actual lengths of the pieces being purchased. A piece count in stock is not the same as usable linear feet for your room.

Bring the flooring name or carton label, thickness, a sample if available, and measurements or photos of the transition you need to finish.
